Your monthly hours cover everyday changes, like new text and images, prices, opening hours or a new review. Anything bigger gets a price before we start, so nothing turns up on an invoice you weren’t expecting.

Website maintenance and hosting questions

What’s included in your website maintenance packages?
Both maintenance plans include hosting, WordPress and plugin updates, regular backups, malware scanning, brute-force protection, a firewall, uptime monitoring, fixes when something breaks and support when you need it. Hosting & Maintenance includes 1 hour a month for design or content changes. Premium Hosting & Maintenance includes 3 hours, daily backups and our suggestions on what to improve.
How much do your maintenance packages cost?
Hosting & Maintenance starts at £75 a month and Premium Hosting & Maintenance at £125 a month, both with hosting included. Paying yearly gets you 2 months free. If you only need hosting, that starts at £19 a month.
How often do you update my site?
We check for updates every few days and install them as they come out. Security fixes are worth getting on quickly, so we don’t save them up for a monthly session.
What happens if an update breaks something?
We fix it as part of your plan. Your site is backed up too, so if needed it can be put back to how it was before the update.
What counts as a design or content update?
Things like changing text or images, updating prices or opening hours, adding a team member or a new review, or adjusting the layout of a section. Bigger jobs, like new pages or new features, get a quote first.
Why does a WordPress site need maintenance?
WordPress sites run on plugins and themes that get updated all the time, often to close security holes. Left alone, a site slowly gets less secure and more likely to break when something does finally get updated.
Can you look after a WordPress site someone else built?
Yes. As long as it runs on WordPress, we can move it onto our hosting and look after it from there, whoever built it.
Will my site go offline while you move it?
No. We handle the migration ourselves and plan the switch so your site stays up while it moves.
Can you look after my domain and email too?
Yes. We can manage your domain alongside the hosting, and every plan includes unlimited email accounts on your own domain.
Is your WordPress hosting fast?
Yes. We only host WordPress sites, so the servers are set up for it, with caching and a global CDN to keep pages loading quickly wherever your visitors are.
Do you offer cheap WordPress hosting?
Our hosting starts at £19 a month. You can find hosting for a few pounds a month, but at that price you usually get basic server space and very little help. Ours includes backups, security features, a CDN and unlimited email accounts, on UK servers powered by renewable energy.
Do I still own my website and domain?
Yes. Your website, its content and your domain stay yours. We look after the hosting and the maintenance.
Can you build me a new website instead?
Yes. If you’d rather start again with a new site, our pay monthly websites include the design, build, hosting and changes, from £149 a month.
